My yoga practice began accidentally, when my roommate convinced me to try a class....
As an athlete and lover of sports (go Leafs!) I was immediately drawn to the exercise aspect of yoga as a busy university student . What started as a fun way to stay active quickly evolved to something much deeper - a practice that allowed me to better connect with myself, and with a community of like-minded people.
I took my first teacher training in 2014 with Modo Yoga and have been teaching since. I'm happy to report I'm still as passionate as ever as a student, teacher and event facilitator.
My classes have recently adopted an even more functional approach with my completion of the Movement Method advanced teacher training in February 2026. The Movement Method blends the sequenicng of yoga, awareness of pilates, and breath and body mechanics of Postural Restoration. A deep and heartfelt thank you to my teachers Kate Gillespie and Matt Phippen.
I teach public movement classes at the Modo Yoga Vancouver studios (North Van, Olympic Village), leading Functional Flow or mat Pilates classes. Check the studio website for updated scheduling information.
