My yoga practice began accidentally, when my roomate convinced (forced!) me to try a class. As an athlete and lover of sports (go Leafs go!), I was immediately drawn to the physcal aspect of the practice. What started as a way to stay active quickly evolved to something much deeper - a mindfulness practice to unplug and connect with myself, and a community to connect with others.
I took my first teacher training in 2014 with Modo Yoga and am happy to report that I'm still as passionate as ever as a student, teacher and event facilitator. I have over 800+ hours of formal training and close to 11 years practical teaching experience.
My classes are athletic with practical mindfulness sprinkled throughout. I prioritize simple movement with a modern approach to alignment, and aim to foster deeper values of community and friendship in the studio. In my classes, you can expect clear ques, individual alignment assistance, functional flows and humour! You can expect to leave class feeling a little lighter, more connected to your body, and maybe even make a friend along the way.
Find me teaching at the Modo Yoga Vancouver studios (North Van, East Van and Olympic Village locations) leading hatha, flow and yin-style classes, as well as mat pilates.
